Diversity Action Plan Focus Group Signup
The Brown University Diversity Action Plan (DAP) is the road map and/or framework which guides the strategic priorities related to diversity and inclusion work across our academic community. The DAP identifies major objectives, provides strategies and mechanisms for meeting these objectives, and establishes metrics and an accountability system for ensuring that we are making progress on these objectives.
Where: JWW 501
When: Tuesday, December 9th @ 12-1:30pm

Overview of the DAP's objectives:
- Facilitate the ongoing recruitment, retention and developmental support of undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds and ensure that these students are provided with relevant resources.
- Develop courses, training and other educational opportunities to increase opportunities for students, faculty and staff to collaboratively engage in the scholarship that relate to and focus on the histories and issues faced by diverse communities.
- Foster a climate of inclusion across the university so that faculty, students and staff have the skills, resources, spaces and mechanisms to be able to meaningfully engage across differences and identities.
